I watched a presentation on TED.com by Shai Agassi. The presentation was called, A bold plan for mass adoption of electric cars. As the title states, it was a plan for "mass adoption" of electric cars based on today's science. At first I though he might introduce a new model to be adopted, but instead he said that the most important part about getting people to start driving them is to create an infrastructure of charging spots and battery swap out stations. He also talked about the positive effect that this would have on the economy. He said that the cars would be affordable, efficient, and would be cheaper than gas cars.
I agreed with most of his points. I think that it seems possible, but there are always going to be stubborn people who are not willing to buy anything that would slightly change their life style. I also think that this is important because it will remove the United States' dependency for oil in the Middle East.
